The ultimate source of an organization’s culture is the culture of their peers. It is in the nature of human beings to seek out and find support and approval when they need it. If the culture of your organization is not positive, then it won’t be able to sustain itself.
What is the most important factor in getting a community-building project to reach a point where it’s easier to get people to work hard for you, or more so, work harder for them? It helps to get people to see the community as the way it is, rather than the way you want them to see it. As we can see from this, this has been a huge priority for the most successful organizations in the entire world.
Organizations that have a healthy, thriving culture are more often than not able to sustain themselves for a long period of time. We cannot deny that many organizations have been around since the dawn of time, but today there are many organizations that are struggling with this. The key to success is to understand what it takes to make a successful culture and then focus on it.
Culture is often defined as the behaviors, traditions, and behaviors that are passed down from generation to generation. But, this is not the only definition of culture.
The definition of culture is often confused with what we would describe as a tradition. We can be culturally defined by specific behaviors that we have. In essence, we are defined by our behaviors. In this way we are culturally defined. We can also be culturally defined by behaviors that we have not yet adopted. That is, we are culturally defined by our habits, routines, and impulses.
A classic example is the Roman Catholic Church. It’s a relatively small faith that has adopted a number of practices that are considered to be part of its culture, like wearing white hats, wearing black hats, and having a special “pope” role.
